Michelle was born in London. After completing a foundation design course at London College of Fashion she went on to study jewellery making and design at the London Guildhall University (formally Sir John Cass).

Michelle's passion for pattern and colour led her to specialize in enamelling very early on in her course. Since graduating in 1994 she has ran her own business designing and making jewellery, undertaking commissions and working internationally.

Michelle's designs are minimalistic and simple and are very much influenced by nature, particularly the sea.
